Mercy and Sharing has four hydrocephalic children in its care, three of which
need surgery. Surgeries began last month.
In association with Ruth Zimmerman (another orphanage director) a hospital
, doctor and anesthesiologist were found to conduct the surgeries at low cost and under sanitary conditions. The first surgery
was done on Martin. He is our pride and joy. Despite his illness, he is very witty and loving. He did not seem to
mind being taken by the nurse to the surgery room. It was the ones who accompanied him to the surgery room who cried, not him.
After a quick prayer for Marty, he was off to surgery.
We are happy to report that he is doing well and is expected to live a long and healthy life. Our next goal is to get this wonderful child
adopted. Surgeries for the other two children are expected to be done later this month.
